Why Trust OntarioBetGuide.ca?

We're a small Ontario-based team. Here's how we approach our reviews.

🔍

Hands-On Testing

We open real accounts, make real deposits, and test the full experience — account opening, deposit methods, odds quality, live betting, and withdrawals.

⚖️

AGCO Compliance First

We only review operators registered with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and iGaming Ontario. Your legal protection matters to us.

📋

No Bonus Hype

Ontario law restricts public advertising of betting inducements. We follow those rules — and honestly, it forces us to give you better information anyway.

💰

Transparent Monetization

OntarioBetGuide.ca earns affiliate commissions when you sign up through our links. This never influences our ratings — operators are ranked on merit, not commission rates.

Ontario's Legal Sports Betting Market

Ontario launched its regulated, multi-operator iGaming market on April 4, 2022 — making it the only province in Canada where private sports betting operators can legally offer services to residents. Before that date, Ontarians who wanted to bet online were limited to the government-run OLG Play platform.

The result has been transformative. By 2025, Ontario's iGaming market had generated over C$3 billion in annual revenue with 47 licensed operators and 81 gaming websites — making it the largest regulated iGaming market in North America.

For bettors, this means real choice: multiple competing sportsbooks, better odds, better apps, and proper regulatory protections. The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) sets the rules; iGaming Ontario administers the commercial framework. Every operator we list operates under this dual oversight.

If you're unsure whether an operator is legal in Ontario, check the iGaming Ontario website. A site operating without an iGaming Ontario agreement is not legally permitted to offer services to Ontario residents.
